PIANO LESSONS
Karis Wiebe holds a Master of Music from McGill University. She also holds a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba. In addition, Ms. Wiebe obtained a Bachelor of Church Music from Canadian Mennonite University focusing on piano, voice, and choral conducting.
An active leader in the vocal community, Karis is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers Associations (CFMTA), Choral Canada, the Manitoba Registered Music Teachers Association (MRMTA), the Manitoba Choral Association (MCA), and the International Society for Music Education (ISME).
As an extension of her commitment to vocal excellence, Karis is the founder and creator of Sing It Smart, an innovative online vocal training program designed to bring world-class vocal pedagogy and technical mastery to singers worldwide.
VOICE LESSONS
Soprano, Karis Wiebe, has performed on the opera and concert stages throughout Europe and Canada with her singing praised as "having shining tone quality, virtuoso ornamentation, and full of expressive interpretation” - Frankfurter Neue Presse. Today she brings that wealth of international stage experience, deep technical expertise, and artistic passion directly into her teaching, helping singers of all levels unlock their true vocal potential.
