Karis Wiebe

For more than three decades, Karis Wiebe has established herself as a distinguished musician, dedicated educator, and vocal expert, teaching students ranging from elementary beginners to advanced university levels.

Karis spent years building a successful vocal studio in Germany while continuing to serve a flourishing Canadian clientele. Internationally she has performed, taught, and coached for the Internationales Theatre Frankfurt, the Frankfurt International School, and various music institutions across Germany. Locally, she has instructed at the University of Manitoba as well as the Canadian Mennonite University.

In addition to studio teaching and performing, Karis is an active choral conductor and a highly sought-after vocal and choral clinician across Manitoba.  As a forward-thinking pedagogue, she is also the founder of Sing It Smart, bringing her decades of international, elite vocal training into the modern digital space.

Paulina Gonzalez

Karis Wiebe Studios is excited to have Ms. Paulina Gonzalez to our instructional team as a voice instructor. Paulina is a deeply experienced, committed, and positive educator who truly believes in the transformative power of music to bring people together.

An outstanding talent with an exceptionally versatile teaching style, Paulina encourages her students to approach practice as a journey of self-discovery and exploration. She inspires singers to pursue their bliss, helping them discover their unique strengths and build lasting confidence.

Paul Forget

Karis Wiebe Studios is thrilled to welcome Paul Forget to our instructional team as a voice and performance instructor. Paul is a multitalented and versatile educator who is equally well-versed in coaching opera, musical theatre, composition and stage and screen acting. His unwavering dedication to musical excellence truly sets him apart.

A devoted and highly experienced teacher, Paul seamlessly adapts is approach to a wide range of learners, from young children to mature students of varying abilities. He considers sharing his love of music to be both an honor and a privilege - a philosophy that shines through his warm, personable and encouraging demeanor.

Karis Wiebe

In addition to her elite vocal credentials, Karis Wiebe is an accomplished pianist, vocal coach and choral conductor with over three decades of keyboard experience. Holding a Master of Music from McGill University, her foundational piano and conducting studies at Canadian Mennonite University and the University of Manitoba shape a comprehensive approach to keyboard instruction that balances classical mastery with creative artistry. 

As a forward-thinking innovator, Karis is expanding her educational reach into the digital world with the launch of her signature vocal program, Sing It Smart, coming this summer. Following this release, she is also developing a companion keyboard course, Key It Smart. This upcoming program will feature a distinct two-tier approach to keyboard mastery, seamlessly balancing Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) examination skills with practical, contemporary chord-playing and modern styles.

In her studio, Karis specializes in building exceptional technical foundations for the beginner through intermediate pianists providing expert RCM preparation, music theory, and commercial songwriting coaching. Placement with advanced, senior-level classical piano instructors is also available through the studio upon request. Whether guiding a traditional student through classical tiers or mentoring an aspiring singer-songwriter, Karis fosters true, well-rounded musicianship.
