Karis Wiebe Studios is delighted to welcome Goodspeed Li as one of our studio collaborative pianists for various recitals, concerts, exams, and masterclasses. Goodspeed combines his technical brilliance, composition skills, and easygoing, supportive approach to help engage, encourage, and uplift every student.
Goodspeed Li is an accomplished collaborative pianist, composer, arranger, and music theorist based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He holds an Associate Diploma (ARCT) in Piano Performance with First Class Honours from the Royal Conservatory of Music, complemented by rare academic distinction in ARCT Harmony, Counterpoint, and Analysis. Having played piano for over 14 years, Goodspeed combines top-tier classical technique with exceptional sight-reading, strong relative pitch, and a specialized background in composition and score reductions.
A remarkably versatile collaborative pianist, Goodspeed brings rich experience working alongside both singers and instrumentalists across Winnipeg. As a former singer with the Winnipeg Boys Choir, he brings a firsthand understanding of vocal technique, breath management, and ensemble collaboration to every session. His collaborative background includes serving as church accompanist at First Mennonite Church, playing for the Soli Deo Gloria Choir under Yuri Klaz, and supporting performers in the Women's Musical Club of Winnipeg competitions, as well as Grant Park High School ensembles at the Manitoba Choral Association’s annual ChoralFest and the Winnipeg Music Competition Festival.
At Karis Wiebe Studios, Goodspeed works directly with vocal students for recitals, masterclasses, and tailored rehearsal sessions. Whether custom-arranging accompaniments, composing tailored musical reductions, or guiding performers through challenging passages, he brings precision, patience, and passion to every collaboration. He is excited to be on board at the studios and looks forward to making music with our studio family.
